This wine has been given a special name in honor of Mac's business partner and co-owner, Venus. After tasting the 2018 vintage barrels, Venus found this Zinfandel to be her favorite. Her childhood nickname was Venus, given to her by her teachers who saw her as their brightest star. Although Mac is known for his Rhône wines, Zinfandel is one of his guilty pleasures. The Paper Street Vineyard produces some of the most unique and exotic Zinfandel in Paso Robles, and we are excited to share this new star with you.

Vinification:

Destemmed and fermented in stainless steel tanks and small, open-top bins, spending between 15-20 days on skins, with a combination of pump overs during cold soak and punchdowns during fermentation. Aged 22 months in 265-liter barriques, 20% of which were new.

Tasting Notes:

Blood orange, dragonfruit, raspberries, candied violet, star anise, chocolate mint, black currant pastilles, sassafras, with focused energy, substance, and a  classy personality that best represents the site.
