2016 Beautiful Earth Red
Beautiful Earth is our flagship Paso Robles blend, and it represents the best lots from our favorite Westside vineyards.

Another perennial winner, the 2016 Beautiful Earth sports a saturated purple color as well as terrific notes of blueberries, blackberries, ground pepper, and plenty of herbal, earthy nuances. This deep, layered, multi-dimensional Syrah from McPrice shows more gamey, bacon fat, and smoky notes with time in the glass and is one of the finest vintages to date for this cuvée. The blend is 72% Syrah, 18% Grenache, 7% Mourvèdre, and 3% Viognier, brought up in 15% new oak.
This estate hit a home run with these latest 2016s, and the charming, more supple style of the vintage worked perfectly with the more savory, classic style preferred by McPrice Myers. These are unquestionably the finest wines I’ve tasted from him, and readers should snatch up these wines.

Brilliant purple. Cherry cola, blackberry, candied licorice, lavender and a touch of incense on the deeply perfumed nose. Stains the palate with glossy black and blue fruit liqueur flavors that are energized by peppery spice and floral qualities. Appealingly sweet and concentrated, finishing with impressive power and breadth and slowly building, velvety tannins.
