2014 Larner Viognier
Located in Ballard Canyon’s westernmost area, coastal winds and fog layers combine to produce one of the coolest spots in the entire Santa Ynez Valley. The Larner’s 33 acres are planted to Syrah, Grenache, and Viognier in addition to the "Larner Clone" Grenache and Malvasia Bianca.
Whole cluster pressed and cold settled in stainless steel. Fermented and aged in neutral 228-liter French oak barriques and 500-liter puncheons. The wine went through malolactic fermentation and was bottled after 8 months.
Honeysuckle, jasmine, Tahitian vanilla, green tea, star fruit, kiwi, melon, lemon zest with a rich lingering finish.
