Hommage a Stevan Larner was first introduced in 2006 to honor Stevan Larner who planted Larner Vineyard in 1998. 2012 marked the tenth year Mac has purchased fruit from the vineyard and he has brought back Hommage a Stevan Larner to commemorate. Mac will continue to produce this wonderful blend every vintage going forth. 

VINIFICATION

This blend of 52% Grenache and 48% Syrah was 60% whole cluster fermented in small, open top bins, and spent 15-20 days on skins with pump-overs during cold soak and punch downs during fermentation. Aged 22 months in 500-liter French Oak, 50% new puncheons.
